The startup, cofounded by architects and designers Gita Ramanan and Shezaan Bhojani, offers an online customised design and decor solution to consumers. Currently operational in Bengaluru, the startup plans to use the raised funds to expand to other cities, including Mumbai and Delhi.
"The interior design industry has largely been offline and disorganised. Middle-class homeowners with houses priced between the range of Rs 75 lakh to Rs 1.5 crore have lacked access to designers and innovation in interior decor. We are targeting that segment," Bhojani, managing director at Design Cafe said.
Bhojani said the startup had seen an unprecedented 300% growth in revenue over the last 12 months making Rs 20 crores in revenue.
The company has an experience centre in Whitefield and is opening another one on Church Street in Bengaluru. Bhojani said the idea is to bring innovation in design and provide to the modern homes in India. The company expects achieving over Rs 100 crores in revenue over the next 24 months, he said.
